Fiction for Free is more than just a blog. It’s a place where I can post fictional short stories that I have written, mostly just for myself. Upon the urging of my family to allow others to read my work, I established this page.
Most of what you’ll find here are the chapters for my Advent Calendar series. But, on occasion, I’ll write something else. I am not a professional novelist, and while I may have had such aspirations as a youngster, life and my career pulled me in a different direction. This provides me an outlet for my creative self. It’s been a lot of fun, and I hope that you enjoy reading what is here as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
What You Will Find Here
The Advent Calendar series is a chapter a day from December 1st to December 24th. The 2018 series are loosely associated chapters. The 2019 series is a 24 chapter running story. If you have ideas for what I could do in 2020, I am happy to hear them!
My hope is that as time allows, I will add more short stories that are thematic or even written by other authors. I am most interested in telling stories about the human experience, in all of its glorious diversity.
